We take you through the decades and evaluate the fashion.

The 1960s was a time of change, and it’s reflected in the fashion. The miniskirt, which first appeared in 1964, was scandalous at first but quickly became a staple of women’s wear. Men wore colorful suits with wide lapels and skinny ties, while women wore bell bottoms or miniskirts with halter tops or turtlenecks. In short: there were a lot more accessories than we see today!

The 1970s saw an explosion in disco culture; this also affected fashion trends like bell bottoms (which became even wider), platform shoes that added height to your look without having to wear heels (or risk falling over)

1960s

The 1960s are most remembered for their long hair and psychedelic patterns. However, there were many other trends that made this decade one of the best in terms of fashion.

  • Clothing: The miniskirt was introduced during this time period and became popular with women everywhere! It wasn’t just about wearing pants or skirts though; there were many different styles of clothing to choose from! Some people wore more casual styles while others preferred dresses or shirts with sleeves (among other options).
  • Hair: Hairstyles were also extremely varied during this time period because they could be short or long depending on personal preference. Some women chose to wear their hair up in ponytails while others let theirs flow freely down their backs–there was no right way to do it! Just make sure yours doesn’t get caught in any doors while walking around town!

1970s

The 1970s was a time of change. It saw the end of the hippy era, disco and glam rock taking over as popular music styles and fashion trends, as well as some new technologies being introduced into our lives.

If you want to know more about it, let’s get started!

1980s

In the 1980s, fashion was all about excess. The decade saw a shift from the minimalist and sleek styles of the 70s to more ornate, ostentatious designs that were not afraid of being over-the-top.

You can see this in everything from shoulder pads (and other “big” trends) to bold colors and patterns that would never work today.

1990s

The 1990s were a time of change and experimentation. It was the decade when grunge made its mark on fashion, with bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam defining what it meant to be “alternative” in music. The 90s also marked the end of disco fashion and its extravagant sequinned outfits; instead, we got flannel shirts and ripped jeans.

The 1990s saw some pretty bold trends come out of Hollywood (think Marilyn Manson) but overall there was less emphasis on glamour than previous decades had seen–people were more concerned with comfort than looking good! This was also the decade when people started getting into low-rise jeans which meant that men could show off their boxers if they wanted (and many did).

2000s

The 2000s were the first decade of the 21st century and saw a rise in social media and celebrity culture.

The West experienced economic prosperity while Eastern Europe struggled with economic uncertainty.

Takeaway:

So, which decade was the best? Well, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re into music, then 1960s are your best bet. If fashion is more up your alley and you like bold colors and patterns (I do!), then 1970s might be right up your alley. But if both of those things matter to you equally…well…we still haven’t decided yet!

I think we can all agree that there’s no wrong answer here; each decade has its own merits and charms when it comes to fashion and music–and even though I may have my preferences when it comes down to specific years within each decade (the 80s were definitely my favorite), I’m sure there are others who would disagree with me wholeheartedly about them being better than other decades’ offerings!

We think that the 2000s had the best fashion, but this is just our opinion. What do you think? Have we missed anything? Let us know in the comments below!

Which decade had the best fashion

There’s no question that fashion has changed a lot over the years. But which decade had the best fashion? Was it the swinging 60s, the disco-loving 70s, or the power-dressing 80s? In this blog post, we’ll take a look at fashion through the years and decide which decade had the best style. We’ll also explore how fashion has changed in recent years and what the future of fashion might hold. So whether you’re a fashionista or just interested in learning more about this topic, read on!

    The roaring 20s

The roaring twenties was a time of great change and experimentation in fashion. Women were breaking away from the traditional Victorian styles and embracing a more modern look. This new look was epitomized by the flapper, a young woman who was daring, independent, and fashionable.

Flappers wore short skirts, bobbed their hair, and applied makeup with a heavy hand. They were often seen smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol, which was considered scandalous at the time. This carefree attitude towards life was reflected in their fashion choices.

While the twenties were a time of great change for women’s fashion, it was also a decade that saw the rise of sportswear for men. Men were increasingly interested in leisure activities such as golf and tennis, and they needed clothing that would allow them to move freely. This led to the popularity of khaki pants, polo shirts, and other casual garments.

So, which decade had the best fashion? It’s hard to say definitively, but the twenties were definitely a style-conscious time period. Whether you’re looking for sleek silhouettes or playful patterns, there’s something for everyone in this iconic decade of fashion.

The 50s greasers and poodle skirts

The 1950s was a golden age for fashion. Men and women alike were dressing to impress, with sharp suits and dresses for the ladies and slick back hair for the guys. Greasers and poodle skirts were all the rage, and everyone wanted to be a part of the action.

The 1950s was a decade of big changes. For fashion, this meant that new styles were being created all the time. Greasers became popular thanks to movies like The Wild One, while poodle skirts were all the rage with teenage girls. This was also a decade when designers began to really experiment with different looks, resulting in some truly iconic fashion moments.

    The 60s-flower children

The 60s were a time of change and new beginnings. The flower children were a huge part of that, with their bright clothes and big hair. They were all about peace and love, and they definitely had the best fashion sense out of any other decade.

    The 70s- disco

The 1970s were a time of disco, platform shoes, and polyester. Disco music was popular, and people loved to go out dancing. Platform shoes were all the rage, and polyester was the fabric of choice. Bell bottoms were also popular, and women wore them with tight tops.

The 80s- big hair and shoulder pads

The 80s was a decade of big hair, shoulder pads, and acid-wash jeans. The fashion was flashy and over-the-top, and it reflected the bright and carefree attitude of the decade. Women’s fashion in particular was all about power dressing, with strong shoulders and tapered waists. Men’s fashion wasn’t far behind, with tight-fitting jeans and brightly colored shirts.

Even though the fashion might not be practical, it was always fun to look at. The 80s is a decade that will always be remembered for its bold style choices.

    The 90s- grunge

The 90s were a great decade for fashion, especially for grunge. Grunge was a style that was popularized by Seattle-based bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. It was characterized by plaid shirts, ripped jeans, and combat boots. The style was often associated with rebelliousness and anti-establishment sentiments.

While grunge may not be as popular as it once was, the impact it had on fashion is still evident today. Many modern styles draw inspiration from grunge, and it continues to be a relevant source of inspiration for many designers and fashionistas.

Which decade had the best fashion?

The best fashion decade is a hotly contested topic. There are many factors to consider when trying to decide which decade was the best for fashion. Some people argue that the best fashion came from the 1920s, while others believe that the 1960s had the best fashion.

There are a few key reasons why the 1920s might be considered the best fashion decade. First, it was a time of great change and experimentation in fashion. Hemlines rose and fell, and new silhouettes were introduced. Second, the 1920s was a time of great prosperity, which meant that people had more money to spend on clothes. Finally, the Roaring Twenties was a time of great social change, which led to more people being interested in fashion and self-expression through clothing.

The 1960s also has its fair share of supporters when it comes to the best fashion decade debate. First, the 1960s was a time of great social change, which led to new styles of clothing becoming popular. Second, many iconic fashion items were introduced in the 1960s, such as miniskirts and tie-dye shirts. Third, the 1960s was a time when people were becoming more aware of their own personal style and expressing themselves through their clothing choices.

So, which decade was really the best for fashion? That’s up for debate!
