    Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is often called the ‘real hero of India’ for his patriotic and socially-conscious films. In a recent interview, Kumar spoke about why he believes it is important to make films that inspire people to be better citizens. “I feel it is my duty as an actor to try and make a difference in society,” he said. “I want to entertain people, but I also want to educate and inspire them.” Kumar has starred in several films that have tackled social issues, such as drug abuse, female empowerment, and environmental conservation. He said that he chooses roles that he feels will help spark a discussion and bring about change. “I think it’s important to start a conversation about these issues,” he said. “If my films can help do that, then I am very happy.”

    Rajesh Khanna

    Rajesh Khanna was an Indian actor, film producer and politician who is known as the first superstar of Hindi cinema. He appeared in over 160 films throughout his career. Khanna has been credited with helping to redefine and popularize the masala film genre in India. He was the highest-paid Indian actor from 1970 to 1987.

    Khanna was born on 29 December 1942 in Amritsar, Punjab, British India into a Punjabi Hindu family. His father, Lala Hiranand Khanna, was a railway station master. His mother, Chandrani Khanna, was a housewife. He had three sisters: Pushpa Verma, Romesh Nanda and Krishna Kapoor. He graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

    Khanna made his debut in 1966 with the film Aakhri Khat. He went on to star in several successful films including Aradhana, Amar Prem and Kati Patang. In addition to acting, he also produced films such as Dushman and Jaise Ko Taisa. He also directed two films: Aap Ki Kasam and Anurodh.

    Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in 1973; they had two daughters together before divorcing in 1984. In 1991, he married Kavita Chaudhary; they have one son together. Rajesh Khanna died on 18 July 2012 at his residence in Mumbai

    Amitabh Bachchan

    Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian actor, film producer, television host, occasional playback singer and former politician. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s for movies like Zanjeer and Deewaar, and was dubbed India’s first “angry young man” for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Referred to as the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Sadiyaan and Sholay which are among the greatest hits in the history of Hindi cinema. In 2005, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India. He has won several prestigious awards throughout his career, including four National Film Awards as Best Actor and many International Film Festival awards. Bachchan has also worked as a playback singer for songs used in his films.

    Dilip Kumar

    Dilip Kumar is a legendary Indian actor who has starred in some of Bollywood’s most iconic films. He is often referred to as the “Tragedy King” for his ability to evoke emotion on screen, and has won numerous awards for his performances. Dilip Kumar was born in 1922 in Peshawar, British India (now Pakistan). He made his film debut in 1944 with Jwar Bhata, and went on to star in classics such as Andaz (1949), Aan (1952), Devdas (1955), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jamuna (1961) and Ram Aur Shyam (1967). In a career spanning over five decades, Dilip Kumar has worked with some of the biggest names in Bollywood, including Raj Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honor, in 1991 and the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor, in 2015.

Many of his films display themes of Indian national identity and connections with diaspora communities, or gender, racial, social and religious differences and grievances. For eight consecutive years, Khan topped Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list from 2008 to 2015. According to the Forbes 2019 list of Top-Paid 100 Celebrities In The World, Khan was the highest ranked Indian with 82nd rank with earnings of $38.5 million.

    In addition to acting, Khan is a frequent television presenter, stage show performer and the owner of two production companies, Red Chillies Entertainment and its subsidiary Red Chillies VFX. He is also the co-founder of Dreamz Unlimited and Meer Foundation which works for children, women and disaster relief. Khan has hosted several award ceremonies, including the Filmfare Awards three times and the IIFA Awards twice. He also founded the production company Red Chillies Entertainment in 2002 and its visual effects wing Red Chillies VFX in 2006.
