What Are the Theological Implications of Dinosaurs’ Existence According to Christian Doctrine?
If you’re a Christian, you probably believe in creationism. In fact, most Christians believe that God created the universe in six days, which means humans have been around for less than 7,000 years. If that sounds crazy to you—and it should—then consider this: Young Earth Creationists (YECs) believe that not only did God create dinosaurs on the sixth day, but also that he made them look like what we see today! YECs also believe that dinosaurs existed well after humans arrived on Earth and even died out before humans ever appeared because of their wickedness (this is according to their interpretation of scripture).
Young Earth Creationists (YECs) believe the Earth is 6,000 years old
Young Earth Creationists (YECs) believe the Earth is 6,000 years old. According to Genesis 1:1, God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days. This means that each day of creation represents one thousand years of time, so if you add up all of these days it comes out to six thousand years since God first created everything on this planet.
Of course, this poses a bit of a problem for dinosaur fossils: if dinosaurs existed before humans did (and there’s plenty of evidence supporting this), then how could they have been buried by Noah’s Flood?
Young Earth Creationists believe dinosaurs were created on the sixth day
Young Earth Creationists believe that dinosaurs were created on the sixth day, and they believe that God made them to look like what we see today. This means that dinosaurs may have been created with the ability to fly, but they were not birds. Birds are a type of flying creature; they do not belong to the same category as reptiles or amphibians–which is why dinosaurs are called reptiles today (though this was not always true).
Young Earth Creationists reject evolution as an explanation for how life appeared on earth because it requires time periods longer than six days for plants and animals to evolve from simple forms into complex ones such as humans or elephants (both mammals).
Young Earth Creationists believe God made dinosaurs to look like what we see today.
Young Earth Creationists believe that God made dinosaurs to look like what we see today. This means that the dinosaurs in the fossil record are not real, but rather just an illusion created by Satan. The same goes for all other evidence of ancient life on earth: fossils, cave paintings, Native American legends about giant animals… anything that suggests that dinosaurs existed before humans did is a lie from the Devil himself!
When asked how he reconciles these ideas with Biblical texts such as Psalms 104:30 (“Thou sendest forth Thy spirit…”) and Job 40:15-24 (“Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook…? Who can open the doors of his face? His teeth are terrible round about…”), young earth creationist Ken Ham said “Welllllll… yeahhhh… That’s just poetry.”
There are many Biblical references that suggest dinosaurs existed in the past
There are many Biblical references that suggest dinosaurs existed in the past. In Genesis 1:21, God created all kinds of “livestock” on Earth, and in Genesis 1:24 he made all kinds of creatures that move along the ground. In Exodus 20:11 and 23:20 God commands us not to kill animals or eat meat with their blood still in it (which would have been impossible if dinosaurs did not exist). In Job 40:15-24 God asks Job what he thinks about a creature called behemoth which is described as being huge and powerful like a crocodile, elephant or hippopotamus but also having scales like those of fish! The description fits that of a Brontosaurus very well! Psalms 104:24 talks about how everything was created by God’s word; this includes both land animals as well as sea creatures including whales which were created before man according to Genesis 1:26-27 . Isaiah 30:6 tells us that serpents are dangerous creatures but not nearly as much so as dragons–a term often used today for dinosaurs! And finally there is Isaiah 65:25 where we read about how people will live again after death just like animals do today – including dinosaurs!
Even though dinosaurs were on the Ark and then were given a death sentence by Noah due to their wickedness, they eventually died out.
There are different theories about why this happened. Some believe that God simply decided it was time for them to go extinct, while others think that the Flood was too much for them to handle and they couldn’t adapt fast enough before dying off in droves.
We may never know for sure how or why dinosaurs died out, but there’s no proof that they didn’t exist.
While there is no definitive proof of dinosaur fossils, there are many Biblical references that suggest they existed in the past. The Bible states that God created all animals on the sixth day (Genesis 1:24-25), including dinosaurs. In addition, dinosaurs were given a death sentence by Noah due to their wickedness (Genesis 7:21).
The Bible also mentions several different types of dinosaurs by name: Behemoth (Job 40) and Leviathan (Psalm 74). While these creatures could have been real animals or mythological creatures from another culture’s folklore, they may also be descriptions of actual living organisms from long ago–dinosaurs!
We know that dinosaurs existed, but we may never know exactly how they died out. There are many theories as to why this happened and one of them is that they were wiped out after the flood. However, there’s no proof that this didn’t happen so we can’t say for sure what happened thousands of years ago when these animals roamed the earth before humans existed.
