How To Put Paper In A Canon Printer

Printing is an essential part of our daily routine and having a Canon printer at home or office makes printing tasks more convenient. However, if you’re new to using a Canon printer, it can be intimidating to figure out how to put paper in it correctly. Fear not! In this blog post, we’ll guide you through the process step-by-step so that you can confidently load your Canon printer with paper in no time. So grab your stack of paper and let’s get started!

Open the paper tray by pressing the release button on the front of the printer

To open the paper tray, press the release button on the front of the printer. The tray will slide out and you can load your paper. Make sure to load the paper with the print side facing up. Once you have loaded the paper, push the tray back in until it clicks into place.

With the print side facing up, slide the stack of paper into the tray until it stops

Print side facing up, slide the stack of paper into the tray until it stops. With the printer turned off, open the paper output tray extension and pull out the output tray extension stop. Close the paper output tray extension. Push in the output tray extension stop until it clicks into place. Insert a stack of paper into the In-tray with the print side down and top edge first.

Gently push the stack of paper forward until it touches the back of the tray

If your printer has a manual feed slot, you’ll need to open it before pushing the stack of paper forward. If the manual feed slot is located at the front of the printer, look for a small lever or knob near the slot and push it to the left or right (depending on your model) to open the slot. Once the manual feed slot is open, gently push the stack of paper forward until it touches the back of the tray. You may need to adjust the paper guides on either side of the stack to ensure that your paper is properly aligned.

Close the paper tray by pressing down on the top until it clicks into place

If your paper tray is open, close it by pressing down on the top until it clicks into place. Make sure that the paper guide is against the right side of the tray, and then slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.

Press the Resume/Cancel button on the printer to resume printing

If your printer has a Resume/Cancel button, you can use it to resume printing. To do so, simply press the button and wait for the printer to start printing again. If the Resume/Cancel button does not work, you may need to cancel the print job and start over.
